Residents from 54 units were evacuated due to a fire at a unit block in Sydney's south-west.
About 1.30pm (Saturday 28 September 2019), emergency services responded to reports of a fire in the basement garage of an apartment block at Childs Street, Lidcombe.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze and officers from Auburn Police Area Command have commenced inquiries.
No injuries were reported.
Investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
