Nillumbik Shire Council announces the resignation, effective immediately, of Blue Lake Ward Councillor Richard Stockman.

Cr Stockman was elected in 2020 as the representative for Blue Lake Ward, and during his time as Councillor has served as chair on a number of Council committees.

Most recently, Cr Stockman chaired the Health and Wellbeing Advisory Committee and the Recreational Trails Advisory Committee.

Council CEO Carl Cowie thanked Cr Stockman for his service.

"On behalf of Councillors and Council staff, I would like to thank Cr Stockman for his contribution to the community, representing Blue Lake Ward constituents as well as the broader Nillumbik community over the course of his term," Mr Cowie said.

"I wish him and his family all the very best in their future endeavours."

Cr Stockman's resignation does not impact the function of Council, which will proceed as normal until the onset of the 'caretaker period' on 17 September ahead of the Victorian Local Government elections on 26 October.
