Campaspe Shire Council has released an initial summary of community feedback following an extensive engagement program conducted in February and March this year.
Mayor, Cr Chrissy Weller said the feedback has been collated and is now available on Council's website as town specific results and whole of shire results.
"We are now calling on the community to take a look at the summary results and let us know if something is missing or misinterpreted," Cr Weller said.
"We had feedback from around 1,000 people, from community workshops, an online survey, targeted industry meetings and pop-up activities in townships."
"We want to make sure the results are reflective of each community's future aspirations before progressing the next step of the project, with Councillors starting to prepare a new Council Plan and other key documents."
Results are available for:
- Colbinabbin / Toolleen / Corop (grouped due to smaller numbers involved)
- Echuca
- Girgarre
- Gunbower
- Koyuga
- Kyabram
- Kyvalley
- Lockington
- Nanneella
- Rochester
- Rushworth
- Stanhope
- Tongala
- Wyuna
"It was great that we had residents from all ages and interests engaged in the project," the Mayor added.
"The online survey offered the chance to win an iPad, which was presented to Jessica Nunan of Echuca recently."
The results are now available on Council's website, at www.campaspe.vic.gov.au/futurecampaspe A quick online form is also available to help residents submit any comments they have. Comments close Friday, 25 June.
