Reverse Vending Machines Now In Broadford And Seymour

From Thursday, Broadford and Seymour residents and visitors can cash in their eligible drink containers, with the installation of 2 new Container Deposit Scheme Victoria (CDS Vic) Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) refund points ready for the community.

The scheme commenced on 1 November 2023, and Victorians have since returned over 1.4 billion containers across the state. The new CDS Vic North Zone RVMs are being installed at the Broadford Leisure Centre, 35 Mollison Stree, Broadford, and Chittick Park, Pollard Street Seymour, helping Victorians return even more containers close to where they live.

The community can bring their eligible drink containers to the CDS Vic Broadford Leisure Centre and CDS Vic Chittick Park Seymour and receive a refund of 10 cents per eligible drink container. The refund can be redeemed as a cash voucher refundable at Coles Supermarkets, via an electronic funds transfer, or as a donation to a charity.

Visy is the Zone Operator for the CDS Vic North Zone and has established over 245 refund points across the Loddon, Mallee, and Hume regions and the inner north and eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
