Rewiring Australia congratulates the outgoing Assistant Minister for Climate and Energy, Senator Jenny McCallister on her promotion to a full ministerial role in the Federal Government, and welcomes the new minister Josh Wilson.
Senator McCallister drove the National Energy Performance Strategy and the Consumer Energy Resources Taskforce. These provide a foundation for the new Assistant Minister to enable solar and electrification for more households, including renters, apartments and low income demographics.

Extend the CEFC's $1 billion Household Energy Upgrades Fund to help more Australians access rooftop solar, batteries and efficient electric appliances, and remove financial barriers to electrification for low-income households
Support home energy performance disclosure, so renters and buyers looking for their next home know what to expect in their energy costs, and landlords have a reason to deliver lower energy bills for their tenants
Drive the transformation of Australia's energy market to give consumers - and their solar electric homes - a fair go, with lower bills thanks to solar panels, flexible pricing and electric vehicles powering the grid throughout our communities.
