Rico Krueger Receives ERC Starting Grant

Technical University of Denmark

Rico Krueger's project IMMERSION (Explaining human decision-making by combining choice and process data) aims to improve the study of how people make decisions by developing new methods for combining data about choices and processes. This involves creating new models that can integrate this data, new statistical methods to analyse it, and new ways to collect detailed data about human behaviour in realistic experiments. This research will change how we study human behaviour and can be used in many different contexts. IMMERSION will provide researchers with a new, powerful tool to gain deeper insights into human behaviour using advanced models.

The research will also include practical examples where IMMERSION's new methods are used to solve real-world problems, such as the design of future transport systems. This may involve studying how people make decisions related to the development of transport infrastructure, interactions between pedestrians and self-driving cars, and how pedestrians find their way.
