Rider Injured After Crashing Stolen Bike

A motorcyclist was injured after crashing a stolen bike at Mile End South last night.

Police and emergency services responded to a single motorcycle collision at the intersection of South Road and James Congdon Drive, Mile End South about 9.15pm on Wednesday 6 November.

The rider, a 31-year-old Wallaroo man, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.

Police checks revealed the yellow Suzuki motorcycle had been reported stolen from a city car park in September. It was seized by police and the owner notified.

Police will follow up with the rider after he has received medical treatment.
