Police are on scene of a two-vehicle crash in the states south.
About 10am today (Wednesday 19 February 2025), emergency services were called to the Federal Highway, near Bungendore Road, Bywong, about 25km northeast of Canberra, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and a found a motorcycle and a truck had collided.
The rider – a 68-year-old woman - was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical(?) condition.
The truck driver - a 27-year-old man - was not injured and taken to Queanbeyan Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has been commenced.
