A motorcycle rider is in a serious condition after a collision in Sydney's west today.
About 5.10pm (Tuesday 10 August 2021), emergency services were called to John Street, Lidcombe, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and were told a grey Toyota Fortuna and a motorbike collided near the intersection of Edith Street.
The rider, a man aged in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.
The driver, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.
John Street is closed between Dewrang and Frampton streets and traffic diversions are in place.
As inquiries continue, any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
