Riverfront Kiosk Tender Announced: Campaspe Shire

Riverboat dock kiosk

Council is excited to announce that Watson St Pavilion are the tenants moving into the Riverfront Kiosk in Echuca. We are delighted to be supporting this small business and warmly welcome the Watson St Pavilion team.

In announcing this, we also wish to address some misinformation circulating in the community about the tenancy arrangements for the kiosk.

A public tender was conducted for the Riverfront Kiosk in 2023, with the lease awarded to the operators of Watson St Pavilion. Prior to the start of the lease, the tenants requested an extension from Council, due to some personal circumstances, and Council granted the extension on compassionate grounds.

This opened the opportunity for a short-term agreement with My Dad's Honey, at a peppercorn rate, for the kiosk over the summer months and up until June this year, with full transparency to My Dad's Honey around the status of the long-term lease.

Council is grateful of the positive contribution to the community and activation over those months and has conveyed this to directly to My Dad's Honey.

Council is pleased that the original tenant, Watson St Pavilion, is now in a position to take up the long-term lease, and after a period of works that need to be undertaken within the kiosk, will commence operating soon.

Watson St Pavilion will share further updates prior to opening via their own social media channels.

Welcome Watson St Pavilion!
