Cannington Detectives are investigating an incident that occurred in Rivervale on Friday 24 November 2023, in which a man in his 70s was injured.
About 10.45pm, the victim was asleep on a couch in his Acton Avenue home when an unknown person forced entry into the premises.
The offender assaulted the victim, punching him to the head causing lacerations, swelling and bruising to his nose and behind his ear. The offender fled the house on foot.
The victim was treated at the scene by St. John Ambulance WA paramedics.
