Road And Access Restrictions Around Eastern Beach

With a weather forecast of 34 degrees today and 36 tomorrow, Eastern Beach-goers are advised of access changes and road closures in the area due to events.

Geelong Revival Motoring Festival kicks off this evening and ends on Sunday afternoon, impacting access to the beach and limiting space on the grass at Eastern Beach Reserve.

Road closures will affect Ritchie Boulevard, Eastern Beach Road, Bellarine Street, Yarra Street and Brougham Street at different times and days until Tuesday 26 November.

Tomorrow, the Geelong Cycling Club Summer Series - Race 1 is taking place at Eastern Park, closing Eastern Park Circuit and Hearne Parade between Garden Street and Limeburners Boat Ramp, from 7-11.30am.

City of Greater Geelong CEO Ali Wastie

Our region is fortunate to host world-class events and with the warmer weather arriving, the events calendar is ramping up.

We're expecting thousands of revheads and cycling enthusiasts to descend on the Waterfront for Geelong Revival Motoring Festival and the Geelong Cycling Club Summer Series this weekend.

We ask the community to respect the events staff and those working the road closures, and to drive to the conditions.

If you're planning a beach day at Eastern Beach, I suggest considering visiting our other stunning beaches or using active transport to access Eastern Beach.
