Media release - Road Asset Management Plan open to community input

The Bass Coast region boasts over 995km of local roads, with 617km sealed and 378km unsealed with its extensive network growing every year as new developments are created.

Bass Coast Shire Council is responsible for managing and maintaining these roads, and to ensure they meet the community's needs efficiently, we are preparing a Road Asset Management Plan (RAMP).

The RAMP is designed to outline our service levels required to maintain our urban and rural roads cost-effectively.

As local housing and developments expand, so do the infrastructure and the costs to maintain it.

Each year, the expenses increase as we upkeep both existing and newly added assets that have been constructed and gifted to the Council. We aim to maintain our current service levels and would love to hear your input on this.
