Ballina Shire Council will temporarily close a section of Bridge Drive, Wardell from Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 October 2024. The road will be closed between Cedar Street and Sinclair Street from 9am to 3pm, each day.
This closure is necessary for the installation of new public artworks on the Wardell Bridge underpass and abutment, a project being delivery by Ballina Shire Council and proudly supported by the NSW Government - Transport for NSW.

- Dates: Monday 14 October, Tuesday 15 October, and Wednesday 16 October 2024 (weather permitting)
- Times: 9am – 3pm daily

To assist with traffic flow, Council will install a Variable Message Sign (VMS) one week before the closure, and appropriate signage will guide both pedestrians and vehicles during the installation. Vehicle detour routes and pedestrian pathways will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption.
This closure is not expected to impact normal before and after school bus services.
