Regional Roads Victoria recently resurfaced a section of the Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) at Narbethong to provide a smoother, safer surface for all road users. They are now returning to complete the pavement works and line marking at this site.
To complete the maintenance work as quickly and as safely as possible, a full closure of the Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) between Narbethong and Healesville is required on Wednesday 27 April from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Partial lane closures will be in place on 28 April between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm to allow completion of line marking. Traffic will be allowed to move through the works site during this time with assistance from on-site traffic management.
How this will impact you
While the Maroondah Highway (Black Spur) is closed, motorists will be required to use the approved detour from Narbethong to the Goulburn Valley Highway at Alexandra before travelling south on the Melba Highway from Yea to Healesville.
This detour will add an extra hour of travel time, so motorists are advised to plan ahead for travel on Wednesday 27 April from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm between Narbethong and Healesville.
While partial lane closures are in place on 28 April, motorists are advised to follow the direction of on-site traffic management and allow for delays of up to 15 minutes.
