WA Police aims to continue practising the mantra of 'anywhere anytime' in an aim to influence safe road user behaviour, and reassure the community by providing a highly visible road policing presence.
Acting Inspector of Road Policing Command Steve Walters says the message is not getting through.
"The message remains simple, don't speed. Unfortunately, some people still believe it's okay to travel over the speed limit, thinking that nothing bad will happen to them.
"Two weekends ago, we saw the tragic events that occurred on our roads. We continue to urge motorists to drive safe at all times, keep in mind the safety of yourself and others, and to have those discussions with your loved ones about the tragic events that can occur when people fall victim to the major causes of fatal crashes.
"One life lost on our roads is one too many. Driving behaviours, especially motorists who decide to hoon, remains at our forefront"
