Road Rage Incident Leaves Motorcycle Rider Injured in Blacktown

Police are seeking public assistance after a motorcyclist was seriously injured following a road rage incident in Sydney's west.

About 10pm yesterday (Saturday 14 July 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a motorcycle rider falling onto the roadway at the intersection of Reservoir Road and Penny Place, Blacktown.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 18-year-old man at the location before he was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command have been informed that shortly before the incident the rider and male driver of a vehicle were involved in a physical altercation at the scene.

As the rider has attempted to leave, he has lost control and fallen from the motorcycle.

The driver has returned to the vehicle – described as a white Mazda – where it was last seen travelling south bound along Reservoir Road.

As inquiries continue police are urging anyone with information about the matter – or were in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Blacktown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
