Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after a mobile road safety camera vehicle was deliberately rammed in Parwan on Sunday (2 June).
Police have been told the car was stationed on Parwan-Exford Road when another vehicle approached it from behind and deliberately rammed it about 7.45pm.
As a result, the car was forced about 30m forward into a tree, causing significant damage.
The victim, a 37-year-old Plumpton man, was in the passenger seat at the time and sustained non-life threatening neck and knee injuries.
He did not require hospitalisation.
The offending vehicle then reversed, conducted a U-turn and fled north-west along Parwan-Exford Road towards Bacchus Marsh.
Police have released dash cam footage depicting the moment the car was rammed in the hope someone may recall the incident and be able to provide information.
The vehicle has been described as a white 4-wheel-drive with a silver bull bar on the front and a scoop on the bonnet.
