Wyndham City is pleased to announce the completion of three road upgrades in Hoppers Crossing as part of our $8.4 million annual Road Reconstruction Program.
Giles Court and Lockhart Court both underwent a full reconstruction complete with kerb and channel, vehicle crossovers and drainage repair works.
Kramer Street underwent 200 meters of road reconstruction, also including kerb and channel, vehicle crossovers, as well as footpath reconstruction.
These important infrastructure improvements will enhance safety, reduce maintenance costs, and improve travel experiences for residents.
Heathdale Ward Councillor, Jennie Barrera praised the projects, noting the value they bring to the community.
"We are committed to delivering safer, smoother, and more reliable roads for our residents."
"These upgrades are essential for supporting local road users as well as reducing the frequency of costly maintenance," said Cr Barrera.
Wyndham City Mayor, Mia Shaw highlighted the broader benefits of the Road Reconstruction Program.
"This program reflects our focus on investing in long-term, high-quality infrastructure that meets the needs of our growing community."
"These projects are connecting Wyndham by improving safety, enhancing drainage to prevent flooding, and providing smoother, more reliable travel for our community," said Cr Shaw.
In addition to these completed projects, several other upgrades are currently underway in Hoppers Crossing.
