These school holidays bring the kids to explore the past with dinosaurs taking over Tulmur Place, First Nations history at the Ipswich Art Gallery and knights and mummification workshops at Ipswich Libraries!
Dinosaur Discovery will be running in Tulmur Place all holidays with dinosaurs that come alive with sound and movement. There will also be arts and crafts, market stalls and food trucks from 18-25 September.
You can Design a dinosaur at Queensland Museum Rail Workshops, meet a Jigasaurus, see how you compare to Queensland's prehistoric inhabitants and more! The activities will run daily from 14-29 September.
At Ewe Nique Hobby Farm a new permanent dinosaur experience has opened with dino displays, lush plants, fish and birds. The farm will be open all holidays, except for Tuesdays from 9am-12m.
Ipswich Art Gallery are exploring First Nations history with a children's exhibition called Walking Together. The interactive exhibition will see kids engaging with tactile materials inspired by traditional crafts. Walking Together is designed to foster understanding, respect and connection with the world's oldest continuous living culture. The gallery will be open daily during the holidays from 10am-5pm.
Ipswich Libraries are also stepping back in time with their programs. There will be history drop-in sessions, a knights and chivalry presentation and a mummification workshop.
