A man has been arrested and charged following an alleged robbery and pursuit in Dirranbandi yesterday.
Shortly after midnight on August 26, the man allegedly forced entry into a Railway Street residence before pushing over the occupant, a 59-year-old man, and stealing his car keys.
The man fled in the stolen Toyota Rav 4 and police attempted to intercept the vehicle.
The man failed to stop, and police continued to track the vehicle for several hours.
Police located the man on Main Street, Bollon around 9.30am yesterday. The man allegedly resisted arrest before fleeing on foot.
It will be further alleged the man attempted to enter several vehicles in Bollon CBD before stealing an unoccupied vehicle and driving off.
The man was arrested by police at an address on Jane Street, Dirranbandi around 11am yesterday.
The Toyota Rav 4 was located on Charles Street, Dirranbandi yesterday morning.
The 33-year-old Harristown man has been charged with several offences, including robbery with violence, enter dwelling with intent, stealing of a vehicle, evasion, serious assault police, attempted enter premises, enter premises, dangerous operation of a vehicle, wilful damage and driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence (disqualified).
He was due before St George Magistrates Court today, August 27.
