Robbery And Wilful Damage Charges, Manly West

Detectives from Cleveland Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged two men following investigations into an alleged burglary in Manly West on Friday, March 28.

Police will allege the men entered a home on Robtrish Street before threatening the occupants with a machete and damaging property.

A 27-year-old man and 58-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident, while a 10-year-old girl, also inside the home at the time, was not physically injured.

An 18-year-old Woodridge man was charged with four counts of wilful damage and one count each of enter with intent, armed robbery, and assault occasioning bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court today, April 3.

A 27-year-old Capalaba man was charged with four counts of wilful damage and one count each of enter with intent, armed robbery, and assault occasioning bodily harm. He has been remanded and will re-appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 28.

Investigations are continuing.
