Robbery With Violence And Evade, Ashmore

Police are appealing for public assistance following a robbery with violence at an Ashmore residence last night, during which a Porsche and Land Rover were stolen.

Around 11.30pm, five people wearing balaclavas arrived at Kootingal Street in a vehicle and gained entry to a property. Three of those people then entered the house.

The 53-year-old female resident awoke when she heard the front-door open and went to investigate, observing a male seated in her 2021 blue Porsche Macan.

The woman opened the driver's door and the male assaulted her.

The woman attempted to reopen the door at which point the male reversed the Porsche, dragging the woman a short distance along the front grass median strip as it fled the scene.

The woman sustained grazes and bruising and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A second vehicle, a 2018 black Land Rover Discovery, was also stolen from the residence during the robbery.

Around 11.50pm, officers located a 2016 silver Hyundai Santa Fe abandoned nearby on Ashmore Road, which had been stolen from Kerala Court, Mudgeeraba, earlier that day. Early investigations indicate that this is the vehicle the males arrived in at Kootingal Street.

The Dog Squad then located a further stolen vehicle, a white Range Rover, bearing false-plates on Zane Street, Molendinar, also believed to be linked to the trio.

Around 12.25am, patrolling officers sighted the stolen Porsche travelling northbound on the Pacific Motorway near Pimpama, where it evaded police.

Police are appealing to anyone with dash-camera footage, CCTV or other vision around the Ashmore area at the time of the incident, to please come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
