Robinson Heads to Dominican Republic

Department of State

Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Todd D. Robinson will travel to the Dominican Republic from October 8-11, where he will meet with senior government officials, experts, and civil society organizations to deepen security cooperation in the fight against illicit synthetic drugs, corruption, and other forms of transnational organized crime. This visit follows Secretary Blinken's September 5-6 visit to Santo Domingo and President Luis Abinader's participation in the Summit of the Global Coalition to Address Synthetic Drug Threats on September 24, where the Dominican Republic joined 10 other Coalition countries to make significant new commitments to address synthetic drug threats.
