Member for Mildura Jade Benham MP and Swan Hill Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Stuart King will next month travel to Villers-Bretonneux to mark the significant 40th Anniversary of the sister City Relationship with Robinvale.
Highlighting the profound significance of the longstanding relationship between Robinvale and its twin town,
Villers-Bretonneux, Ms. Benham reiterated the importance of this association earlier this year. 2024 signifies the 40th anniversary of this twinning, marking a proud milestone in the history of both towns.
Ms. Benham has been designated by the Robinvale Villers-Bretonneux Association as the elected parliamentary representative to partake in the celebrations in Villers-Bretonneux.
"I am honoured to stand alongside Mayor Stuart King and other chosen representatives during the week-long festivities," said Ms. Benham.
"I welcome any families who may have loved ones laid to rest in Villers-Bretonneux to contact my office as I would be honoured to visit their resting place on their behalf and pay my respects," said Ms. Benham.
"I'd like to thank President Ian Boyd for extending the invitation of my attendance to represent the Robinvale community at this momentous milestone for the towns."
Swan Hill Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Stuart King also expressed his thoughts on the upcoming visit.
