Robotic lawnmower brings cutting edge to Manningham

Manningham Council

It's official, a new robotic lawn mower is hard at work around Manningham!

Battery powered and remote controlled, the new addition is innovative and practical, offering significant safety benefits to our parks team.

Originally built for the agricultural sector, the mower went through decades of testing and development to prepare it for the demands of commercial use.

Manningham Mayor, Cr Carli Lange said, Council was always looking for ways to improve safety for staff and results for our community.

"The mower is compact and light weight, which means it can manage a variety of terrains, manoeuver up steep slopes, avoid unexpected objects and notifies staff when something blocks it's path".

"This makes it the smarter choice for hard to reach embankments, soft ground or hazardous areas, traditionally inaccessible to conventional mowers or tractor slasher equipment," Cr Lange said.

The mower with it's cutting edge technology is already in high demand and will continue to be hard at work around Manningham this summer.
