Campaspe Shire Council is pleased to announce the approval to sell a small portion of land as part of 63 Moore Street Carpark, Rochester to the State Emergency Service (SES) and Country Fire Authority (CFA). The parcel of land is adjacent to the site where a brand-new state government funded co-located Rochester Emergency Services Hub is to be built, enhancing their ability to serve the community effectively.
Council publicly advertised the proposed intention to sell part of the parcel of land on 6 November 2024, with the public able to make submissions until 20 November 2024. The proposed sale was endorsed at last week's Council meeting.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell said the new hub would enhance the services that were available in the district.
"We are thrilled to support this joint venture between the SES and CFA. The new hub will provide both services with the facilities they need to continue their vital work in our community," Cr Mackrell said.
"This joint hub will be a wonderful addition for the emergency responders in the Rochester community."
