Jeremy Rockliff has staked his leadership on delivering the stadium for $375m, "and not a red cent more".
He has made the promise more than 100 times, including in Parliament.
An independent report commissioned by his own government found he is set to blow that commitment by at least $400 million.
It also found the fact he isn't being honest about the cost blowouts is making the problem worse - just as we've seen with the new Spirits fiasco.
Labor backs a stadium in Hobart because it will drive jobs and opportunity for the entire state and deliver the AFL and AFLW sides the state deserves. The Liberals can't stuff this up like they stuffed up the Spirits.
Jeremy Rockliff needs to explain how he will stick to his promise, and how the additional costs identified in the Gruen report will be paid for.
The Premier has staked his leadership on delivering the stadium on time and on budget. He can't afford to stuff this up like he stuffed up the Spirits, and Tasmania can't afford him to either.
