Rocks Thrown At Cars In Cranbourne

Cranbourne police are appealing for information after rocks were thrown at three vehicles in Cranbourne earlier this month.

Investigators have been told three separate vehicles were headed northbound along the South Gippsland Highway about 4.25am on 5 August.

All three vehicles slowed as their drivers noticed rubbish and debris on the road which they had to avoid.

As the vehicles slowed, rocks were thrown by someone hidden in the bushes.

The first car, a blue Toyota Corolla sedan, had a rock smash the passenger window and dint the passenger side pillar.

The second vehicle, a white Hino flatbed truck, was damaged when a rock hit the windshield and smashed a mirror.

The third vehicle, a white Renault van, was damaged when a rock went through the windshield.

The driver, a 32-year-old man from Cranbourne East, suffered minor injuries when glass went into his eye.

All three drivers stopped at the scene and saw a man running towards Lesdon Avenue, Cranbourne.
