Rockynats 05 Unveils Bumper Program With 44 Days To Go

Rockynats 05 Program Launch

The city of Rockhampton is gearing up to transform into a high-octane playground for motorsport and event lovers, after Rare Spares Rockynats presented by Autoglym officially unveiled its biggest and most exciting program to date.

With just 44 days to go until Rockynats 05, Rockhampton Region Mayor, Tony Williams affirms that the city is set to deliver an action-packed weekend like never before.

"Rockynats has become an iconic Rockhampton event that is loved by both locals and visitors, and with many new additions having been added to this year's program, we're excited to once again welcome visitors from out of region, as well as locals to Queensland's largest car and bike festival."

While all the famous Rockynats crowd favourites are set to return, including Friday's Street Parade (Bill Blokker Spray Painting), Buddy's Fire Burnouts, Street Drags (Garrett Motion), Show N Shine (Finch's Mitre 10), and the Elite Pavilion (Lawrences Motors), the 2025 program is taking the action up a gear with thrilling new additions guaranteed to impress motorsport fans and families alike.

One of the most exciting changes is the addition of 'Little Tokyo', a vibrant new zone featuring pop-up food vans offering a range of Asian-inspired food and beverages, alongside all the drift action of the CBD Drift Precinct. Spectators will also get the unprecedented chance to get up close to some of the hottest JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) cars and their drivers with the addition of the Hardtuned JDM Showcase.

Friday's off-track action at the FMX Kaos Rockhampton Showgrounds will be bigger and better than ever, focusing on family-friendly fun with new additions including speedway, jaw-dropping freestyle motocross shows by FMX Kaos and adrenaline-pumping off-road remote control car racing.

On Saturday, Aussie music legend Pete Murray will headline a jam-packed evening of live entertainment. Festival favourites like Mulletfest and the Tattoo Competition are also set to return, ensuring there will be plenty of fun and competition both on and off the track.

Sunday will bring a full-throttle dose of retro Rockabilly nostalgia, featuring live performances from rockabilly bands, the iconic RockabillyNats Pin Up Competition and Beginner Fashion Parade.

The weekend-long event will wrap up in spectacular fashion with the Full Throttle Awards, followed by high-energy entertainment from TikTok sensations and Melbourne-based band Playlunch at the Pit Stop Party.

Rockhampton Regional Council Tourism and Events Manager Zac Garven said pre-sales for this year's event are already tracking ahead of last year, and now that the full program is live, attendees can start planning their weekend.

"With the Rockhampton Events App, patrons can start mapping out their ultimate Rockynats experience and make sure they don't miss a second of the action," Mr Garven said. "And for those who haven't secured their tickets yet, now is the time with this year's program proving that Rockynats is more than just a car festival."

"It's an action-packed weekend of entertainment that truly offers something for all ages and interests."

This official program launch announcement was made by Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams and Rockhampton Regional Council Tourism and Events Manager Zac Garven at a pop-up Tokyo Drift-inspired activation at Customs House, giving passers-by a sneak peek into the festival's high-octane atmosphere.
