Leiden University's Institute for Security and Global Affairs and Dual PhD Centre jointly organize an online lecture by Cleveringa Professor General Roméo Dallaire on "How a better world is possible": Cooperation between Science and Practice.
In this presentation, General Dallaire will reflect on the complexities of international governance and leadership on 'wicked problems' in the human security realm and share his personal lessons from his career and provide recommendations for different generations of scholars and practitioners, from students to active policy makers. General Dallaire will emphasize the importance of lifelong learning and cross-fertilization of real-life experience and academic knowledge. The presentation is meant for students, and practitioners and policy makers, especially those being actively involved in academic (doctoral) research.
