The Australian Conservation Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Ros Harvey as its new President and Chair of the Board.
Ms Harvey is an accomplished activist, innovator, and technology entrepreneur, who brings a wealth of experience and a diverse set of skills to the role. Her commitment to advancing sustainable practices aligns seamlessly with ACF's mission to protect and restore Australia's natural environment.
She is known for her transformative work as the Founder and former CEO of The Yield, an agriculture technology company that leverages AI to optimise food production with a focus on environmental sustainability. Following the sale of The Yield, Ms Harvey is now dedicating her efforts to leading ACF into a new era of impact and growth.
"Ros brings a truly unique and valuable combination of qualities to ACF: a passion for innovation, a commitment to nature, and the ability to connect business and social good in practical ways," ACF CEO Kelly O'Shanassy said.
"ACF is an organisation built on diversity and our supporters come from all walks of life. Ros's vision and diverse skillset will help us tackle the biggest and most complex issues nature faces: the extinction crisis and rapidly escalating climate change."
Incoming ACF President Ros Harvey said: "ACF has long been a fearless defender of nature in Australia. I am honoured to lead this organisation as President and Board Chair, during arguably the most critical time in its history.
"Protecting Australia's unique landscapes and biodiversity isn't just a cause, it's a profound responsibility I am committed to channelling my diverse experience and passion for innovation to help ACF amplify its impact.
"At ACF, I look forward to strengthening our reach, engage with new partners, and empower communities to act decisively to fight for the wildlife and places we all love.
