Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash at Rosebud, Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Boneo Road and McCombe Street just before 5pm after reports a car had crashed into a pole.
The passenger, a 61-year-old Capel Sound woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, but sadly later died.
The driver, a 38-year-old Capel Sound woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
