Campaspe Shire Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of round one of the Community Grants program. The grants aim to support not-for-profit community organisations, groups, projects, events and exhibitions that strengthen Campaspe's vibrant and dynamic region.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said it's wonderful to see community groups applying for grants and making use of the opportunity to upgrade equipment and develop the future offerings of their organisation.
"We are thrilled to be able to distribute this funding across groups/organisations in Campaspe and look forward to seeing the finished outcomes of each application.
"Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a grant application, we appreciate the effort that goes into each submission. I am especially proud of the continued effort to strengthen opportunities of participation, development, inclusion and sustainability in the shire.

The grants that were awarded in round one includes:
- Echuca Neighbourhood House Inc. $4,000 to assist with the purchase of a minibus for collection and delivery of food bank items and community transport.
- Echuca Historical Society Inc. $1,320 to reprint the Echuca Heritage Walk brochure.
- Kyabram & District Men's Shed Inc. $4,000 to assist with the purchase of a utility vehicle to replace the current aging 1984 utility.
- Girgarre Stanhope Rail Trail (Girgarre Development Group Inc). $721 to purchase gravel to resurface the existing pathway at two pedestrian bridges and upgrade a section of the path.
- Lockington Recreation Reserve Inc. $4,000 to assist with the development of a strategic plan for the reserve.
- Kyabram Bowls Club Inc. $4,000 to assist with an upgrade to the green ditches to meet bowling standards and make safe for users.
