Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne Lights Up

VIC Premier

As daylight savings ends, the Allan Labor Government is bringing light to the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne with the launch of Lightfall.

Minister for Environment Steve Dimopoulos launched Lightfall, with the worldwide debut at Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne offering families a nighttime light trail experience over the next two weeks.

Lightfall is a one-kilometre trail that takes visitors through an illuminated landscape, inspired by the award-winning Lightscape at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne - winner of Best Major Event at the Victorian Tourism Awards and Bronze at the Australian Tourism Awards

From large-scale illuminated sculptures to lakeside reflections and an immersive soundscape, Victorians can embark on a magical evening after dark, with tasty food and drink options available along the route.

With easy access from Melbourne's southeastern suburbs, the event will provide visitors the opportunity to enjoy a world-class event right on their own doorsteps.

The event is produced in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment, with the support of Presenting Partner City of Casey and Major Partner Red Energy.
