SA Police would like to thank the community of South Australia for their support yesterday as temperatures soared.
While we are proud to have supported the Country Fire Service and Metropolitan Fire Service at a range of fire locations across the state, officers have been touched by unsolicited kindness of the public at many of these scenes.
In a number of instances in metropolitan Adelaide, patrols on traffic control duties were approached by members of the public with cold drinks to ensure their well-being.
At one location a police officer was provided with ice and several drinks in a bucket, while many others reported that community members were stopping to check if they were okay.
