A mystery shopper in Adelaide has unknowingly secured a division one prize in the recent Saturday X Lotto, but has yet to discover their good fortune. The South Australian is one of the six national winners from the draw held on 13 April 2024, each scoring a lucrative $862,332.62.
The winning ticket, purchased at The Avenues Newsagency & Stationery Supplies in Stepney, remains unclaimed as it was unregistered, leaving lottery officials with no means to directly contact the winner.
Marcel Greco, the owner of the newsagency, expressed his excitement about selling the winning ticket, the fourth such occurrence since the outlet opened 18 years ago.
“This is our fourth division one winning entry since we opened this outlet 18 years ago, and every time, we are super excited for the winner,” he said.
"As the winner is not registered, we encourage everyone who purchased a ticket from us to check it — it could be you!!
“We are sure this will be welcome news for our customers and the local community. We’ll all be celebrating!
“A big congratulations to the winner!”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was keen to unite South Australia’s latest division one winner with their prize.
“This is the 25th South Australian division one winner we’ve had so far this financial year, and we can’t wait to hear their plans for the prize,” he said.
“It’s likely our latest South Australian winner has started the week with no idea they won division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday X Lotto ticket from The Avenues Newsagency & Stationery Supplies to check their tickets as soon as possible.
“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because our mystery winner could be you!
