The rally will be held at Peace Park, Hampton (also known as Triangle Gardens corner Beach and Linacre Roads and Hampton Street).
Council has been requested by Victoria Police to put traffic management measures in place to ensure public safety at the rally. Victoria Police will be in attendance.
We anticipate that the rally will close Hampton Street between Beach Road and Willis Street from approximately 11am to 1pm.
If you are attending the rally, please be mindful of road safety and follow the directions of Victoria Police and marshals.
Road diversions in place
Local residents should be aware of the possibility of road closures on Hampton Street around the community rally.
The Carman's Fun Run is also occurring along Beach Road on Sunday morning with road diversions in place from Bridge Street Hampton to Head Street Brighton until 11am.
The St Kilda Festival will also mean road closures further north in St Kilda including Marine Parade and Jacka Boulevard north of Beach Road Brighton.
We encourage the community to avoid the Hampton Street/Beach Road area and use alternative routes until after midday on Sunday 16 February.
