VicScreen has appointed producer, writer, and director Sam Dinning into the position of Head of Content Investment.
With more than 15 years of industry experience across factual and scripted storytelling, Sam's most recent credits include story consultant on ten-part kids live action series Turn Up The Volume, writing and story producing And We Danced, a three-part series on the history of the Australian Ballet, producing theatrical documentaries Anonymous Club and Palazzo Di Cozzo, and writing, directing and producing MIFF Premiere Fund Film No Time for Quiet.
Sam's work has screened at SXSW, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX, MIFF, Sydney Film Festival, Cinefest Oz, BIFF and Perth Revelation International Film Festival, and broadcast on the BBC, ABC, SBS, NITV and DocPlay.
Most recently, Sam joined VicScreen as a Production Executive in January 2022 and has since led documentary development and production, conceiving, and delivering the Originate Factual program with UK TV stalwart Fatima Salaria.

The appointment will oversee the delivery of the Victorian Production Fund for film, television and online platforms as well as the Originate initiative for features and factual.
