Sans Souci Library Hosts Chinese Art Exhibit

Sans Souci Library is hosting an immigrant photo exhibition of works by Chinese-Australian artists who share their personal migration and settlement stories of arriving in Australia.

Curated by the Australian New Arts Society the exhibition brings together the photographic works of 30 immigrants showcasing the joys, sorrows, hardships and achievements of Chinese immigrants in Australia.

The Australia Chinese New Arts Society started in 2019 to collect and compile the stories written by Chinese Australians about their journey of migration and new life in Australia.

These stories have also been published in a series of four bilingual books in Chinese and English titled as Too Blue To Be True - Days in Australia.

These books are available in Bayside Libraries.
