Santa and his festive convoy of carollers are coming to Campbelltown on Saturday, 5 December and have now confirmed a number of stops to entertain local children and sing their carols.
The route takes the Rocking Around Campbelltown convoy across all of Campbelltown's suburbs and will stop at several schools and parks where the carollers from the Campbelltown Theatre Group will sing a few Christmas favourites.
Residents are encouraged to follow COVID safety guidelines at all stops and maintain physical distancing.
"The Rocking Around Campbelltown Convoy will be spreading the Christmas cheer across the entire LGA and I look forward to seeing our residents enjoying a few favourite carols throughout the day," Mayor George Brticevic said.
"While we can't hold our annual Christmas Carols event at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, this is a great way of bringing the joy to our community's doorstep," Cr Brticevic said.
Stops include:
- Milky Way, Macarthur Heights.
- Thomas Acres Public School, Ambarvale.
- St Helens Park Public School, St Helens Park.
- Rosemeadow Public School, Rosemeadow.
- Woodland Road Public School, St Helens Park.
- Briar Road Public School, Airds.
- Ruse Public School, Ruse.
- Leumeah High School, Ruse.
- Opposite Ron Moore Community Centre, Minto.
- Brigade Park, Bardia.
- Yirran Burraay Park, Willowdale.
- Claymore Public School, Claymore.
- Badgally Reserve, Claymore.
Joining the convoy alongside Santa and his carollers will be the Batman and his Batmobile, the C91.3 road crew and a few other surprise vehicles.
The Ingleburn RSL and Campbelltown Community Pipes and Drums will also join the convoy at Milky Way and Brigade Park.
Residents can also bring along a new and unwrapped gift to donate to the Mayor's Christmas Appeal which will go to the Macarthur Combined Churches who will distribute the gifts to those in need this Christmas.
The convoy will be travelling around Campbelltown between 2pm and 8pm.
