Save the Children Australia's Head of Humanitarian and Global Programs Melanie Book said:
"It's a relief to see that the Australian Government is still willing to support humanitarian efforts in Yemen even as the war there enters its tenth year and other crises, such as in Gaza, Lebanon and Sudan, compete for global attention and limited humanitarian funding," she said.
"Right now, across Yemen, there are about five million children who need life-saving nutrition support, with almost half of those in need of treatment for acute malnutrition. This funding from Australia will help ensure some of these kids get the support they so desperately need."
