A delegation of Sberbank headed by Sergey Melamed, Senior Manager and Director of the Corporate Business Development Department, visited Tomsk State University. The representatives of Sberbank met with the TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinsky, leant about the research and study opportunities, and visited the Research Library. At the meeting with Yulia Emer, Vice-Rector for Information Policy and Digital Communications, they discussed areas of future cooperation, including within the framework of the strategic project "Sociohumanitarian Engineering: Research and Design of Man and Society".
The working day of the delegation started with a meeting with the Rector of Tomsk State University and a tour of the TSU campus. Sberbank representatives also visited the research Library and the Book Museum. Besides, they met Yulia Emer, Vice-Rector for Information Policy and Digital Communications, and discussed future potential cooperation. Yulia Emer shared some details of the strategic project "Sociohumanitarian Engineering: Research and Design of Man and Society" implemented at TSU within the federal academic leadership program "Priority 2030".
- This strategic project is our ambitious attempt to understand how technology affects individuals and society and how we can use this knowledge to create a better future. Our major focus is cognitive and cultural wellbeing in the age of two intelligences. It is important that we address common challenges and are willing to discuss potential collaborations. We are actively working with our partners. For instance, we created a network of neurolaboratories with Russian Railways and Moscow Analytical Center. I am sure that today we will identify possible further plans, said Yulia Emer.

Sberbank was also interested in the RosNavyk platform, which was presented by Vyacheslav Goiko, Director of the Institute of Big Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence at TSU. RosNavyk is a special platform, which analyzes the labor market and tracks its changes. As the representatives of Sberbank noted, such a resource helps to monitor changes in the small business sector as well.
The visit ended with the Siberian Center for Artificial Intelligence, a joint project of TSU and Sberbank. The delegation met the team and discussed the projects implemented at the center. Besides, they discussed current tasks and possible formats of cooperation, identified potential pilot projects and developed a further joint action plan. In particular, the attention was focused on the Profiling project. In August 2024 this joint project of TSU and Sberbank was defined as a reference project by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Management Board.
- Our visit to TSU is, first of all, an opportunity to learn more about the university and its innovative developments, emphasized Sergey Melamed.- We are open to cooperation and are looking for joint promising projects. I must admit that we are pleasantly surprised by the scale and depth of TSU projects. I think that many of these developments have huge potential and can be successfully scaled up across Russia.
