SCT Celebrates 10 Years of Wimmera Operations at Industry Event

Specialised Container Transport (SCT), a leading freight transport service, is celebrating a decade of serving the Wimmera region with its freight trains.

In conjunction with Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC), SCT is hosting an industry event on Thursday, 13 June 2024.

The event, titled "Wimmera Regional Port Logistics Industry Event 2024", will feature guest speakers from various sectors of the logistics industry.

Matt Eryurek

General Manager of Ports and Government Relations at SCT Group, brings over 20 years of experience in leading business development, marketing, and high-performance team management in air, road, and rail landside logistics.

Leatrice Treharne

Head of Business Development at the Port of Melbourne, is responsible for the port's trade growth strategy and the management of all trade-related stakeholders.

David Jochinke

President of the National Farmers' Federation, hails from Murra Warra in western Victoria. He has served as Vice President of the NFF since 2017 and was previously the President of the Victorian Farmers' Federation from 2016 to 2020.

Fiona Gormann

Manager of Investment Attraction & Growth at Horsham Rural City Council, is responsible for the development of the Wimmera Agriculture and Logistics Hub (WAL Hub). She brings over 20 years of experience working in local government.

Since 2013, SCT has operated services to the Port of Melbourne, supporting exporters in the Wimmera region. The event will provide an exclusive tour of the Wimmera Intermodal Freight Terminal and showcase the logistics industry in the region. It will also provide an opportunity for networking with representatives from across the industry.

The event will take place at the Horsham Town Hall, located at 71 Pynsent Street, Horsham. The Dooen Site Tour will begin at 12.30pm, followed by a networking and speaker event at 4.30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is a testament to SCT's commitment to the Wimmera region and its ongoing efforts to support and develop the local logistics industry.
