What a spectacular start for Sculptures Rock! The inaugural event brought together a vibrant community of art lovers and showcased the incredible talents of 66 local and regional artists.
The exhibition Gala Day on 21 December saw over $16,000 in prizes officially being awarded to artists, marking the culmination of months of creativity and hard work.
"The standard of entries for this year's Sculptures Rock was nothing short of phenomenal," said Annette Young, Gallery Curator of the Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery and judge for this year's sculpture prize.
"Each piece showcased extraordinary creativity, technical skill, and artistic vision. I was utterly blown away by the talent on display." Said Miss. Young.
"It's truly amazing that our community had the privilege of experiencing an exhibition of this calibre right here in South West Rocks. Events like this elevate our region and prove that high quality art isn't confined to major cities – it's thriving right here in our own backyard!"
Set against the stunning backdrop of South West Rocks' sparkling beaches, the large outdoor sculptures were seamlessly woven into the picturesque grounds of the heritage-listed Maritime Museum and Visitors Centre, Arts and Crafts Cottage, and Art Gallery.
These breathtaking pieces created a magical blend of art and nature, offering visitors an experience unlike any other.
For those who appreciate the finer details, the intimate smaller works have been thoughtfully displayed inside the charming Pilot House, the heart of the South West Rocks Art Gallery.
The combination of these spaces brought life to an event that celebrates creativity, community, and the unique charm of South West Rocks.
