Police have launched a search and rescue operation in Ingham after a man was seen being swept away by floodwaters near Cooper Street yesterday evening, February 4.
The man entered flood waters around 5.15pm and remains unaccounted for, despite water and aerial searches this morning.
The man is described as Caucasian, about 188cm tall, with dark hair.
He was wearing black shorts, a black singlet, a black backpack and arrived on a blue bicycle.
Police are seeking anyone with information which help identify the man to come forward.
Residents are urged to avoid the area so as not to interfere with the search efforts.
