A search and rescue operation is underway for an 84-year-old man reported missing from Carrara yesterday afternoon, December 17.

Police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate Warren Bartley (pictured) who was last seen around 1pm at a golf club on Alabaster Drive.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 165cm tall with grey hair, and last seen wearing a white t-shirt and board shorts.

Family and police have concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition that causes confusion.

Warren is known to walk large distances when confused and may be in other suburbs on the Gold Coast.

Carrara residents, including surrounding suburbs Broadbeach, Varsity Lakes, Robina, Southport, Ashmore, Nerang are urged to check their properties and any structures for signs of Warren in case he has become disoriented.

Anyone who sees Warren or has any with information about his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police.
