Police have launched a search and rescue operation and are seeking urgent public assistance to locate a 36-year-old man reported missing from Ipswich on Sunday evening.
Matthew Woer, pictured, was last seen around 2:30pm leaving Heritage Drive, Brassall and has not been heard from since. He was due to ride his pushbike along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail before returning to Brassall.
Police and family are concerned for his welfare due to the disappearance being considered out of character.
Matthew is described as Caucasian in appearance, with shirt brown hair, brown eyes, and has tattoos on his lower left arm. He was last seen wearing a grey, white and black hooded jumper.
Matthew was last seen riding a white, black and red Scott Gambler 2010 pushbike.
Officers have since launched a search operation along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and parts of the Brisbane Valley Highway and are appealing to residents who may live nearby to check their properties and yards.
Anyone who may have information regarding Matthew's whereabouts are asked to contact police.
