Police are currently searching for a 54-year-old woman who went missing in waters of Mossman Gorge earlier today (January 6) around 2pm.
She has not been located and police hold concerns for her welfare.
Search and rescue efforts involving multiple resources, including vessels and aircraft are currently being coordinated by police.
The search has been postponed for safety reasons due to darkness, however, it is anticipated the search will resume tomorrow.
Police are in contact with the missing woman's family.
