Police have launched a search and rescue operation after a 60-year-old Aurukun man was reported missing today, February 1.
Initial information indicates the man was last seen leaving his home at around 12pm on January 30, and is believed to have gone fishing at the mouth of the Ward, Watson and Archer Rivers.
Police, State Emergency Service volunteers, aerial assets and a wildlife ranger have been deployed to the region.
Search efforts are continuing.
